It was a pretty exciting week for junior golf, especially here at Heritage Hill.
Two young golfers coached by our own Coach Dean, co-owner of Heritage Hill Golf Course, recently won state junior championships. Tommy Beauregard won the Rhode Island Junior Amateur U-14 Championship, while Luke Edgar won the Massachusetts Junior Amateur Championship.
We could not be more proud of both of them and all the work they have put into their games.
Tommy Beauregard Wins U-14 Championship

At just 13 years old, Tommy Beauregard had an incredible week at Pawtucket Country Club, taking home the 2026 Rhode Island Junior Amateur U-14 Championship.
Tommy started match play as the No. 4 seed after shooting an 80 during qualifying. He then worked his way through the field, beating Lawrence LaFauci III 5-and-3 in the first round and Benjamin Bianco 3-and-1 in the quarterfinals.
In the semifinals, Tommy faced the No. 1 seed, Camden Fontaine. He continued his strong play and won the match 5-and-4 to earn a spot in the championship.
The final was just as impressive.
Tommy came out strong against Ben Fenster, winning holes two and three. He then went on a four-hole winning streak on holes 5 through 8 and made the turn 6-up.
He continued to control the match on the back nine and closed it out on the 12th hole, winning 7-and-6 and becoming the 2026 Rhode Island Junior Amateur U-14 Champion.
What an accomplishment for Tommy!
Luke Edgar Wins Massachusetts Junior Amateur

Tommy wasn't the only golfer coached by Coach Dean to have a big week.
Luke Edgar won the 2026 Massachusetts Junior Amateur Championship at Great Barrington after an incredible day of match play.
Luke's road to the championship was not an easy one. In his semifinal match against Joseph Mulvey, he found himself down four holes early in the round.
Instead of giving up, Luke fought his way back and went on a five-hole winning streak on the back nine. He eventually won the match 2-up.
That put him into the championship match against Benjamin Ragosa.
Luke again found himself playing from behind, going two down after eight holes. He continued to battle and started making his move on the back nine.
The match came down to the 18th hole.
Ragosa hit a great chip to put the pressure on Luke. Luke answered with an incredible chip of his own, leaving himself just inches from the hole.
Ragosa conceded the putt, and Luke had officially won the Massachusetts Junior Amateur Championship.
After the match, Luke talked about how important it was to stay patient, drink plenty of water and keep his energy up during a long day in the August heat. He also joked that a little chocolate milk at the turn helped get him going.
We think it's safe to say it worked!
A Big Week for Coach Dean
Seeing Tommy and Luke both win state championships is pretty special for Coach Dean and everyone here at Heritage Hill.
Coach Dean has worked with both of these young golfers as they continue to develop their games.
Both Tommy and Luke showed the confidence, patience and determination that it takes to compete at a high level.
